Teutopolis for Tomorrow
Early in 2020, a MAPPING (Management and Planning Programs Involving Nonmetropolitan Groups click for more information) initiative was begun in Teutopolis. Members of the community were invited to participate in a process to dream about their vision of a future Teutopolis. They were asked to identify big, hairy, audacious goals (BHAGs) in order to get to that ideal place. From there, all BHAGs were considered, categorized, and ranked using the Ombea electronic polling system to prioritize identified strategies. This resulted in the formation of eight action committees. The committees and their goals are as follows:
Education
Teutopolis offers the very best education to students from pre-k to 12th grade. Innovative programs prepare students for a variety of career options including trades or higher education.
